Living A Fruitful Life

Perseverance

Jose & Jackie - MAY 24, 2020

And remember, don't forget your activity below.☺

Verse of the day: "Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:4 NIV

Practice this verse several times with your child during the week. This will not only help them remember the verse, but it will also help to reinforce what he or she learned during class.

Suggested Parent/Child Activity: Help your child understand the difference between perseverance and patience, by letting them answer the following questions with either "Patience" or "Perseverance." Also discuss why each answer is correct. In many situations both words apply. You may also want to come up with some questions of your own. What does it take to get an A on a test? (Perseverance) What does it take to watch the sunset? (Patience) 3. What does it take to wait for Christmas? (Patience) 4. What does it take to raise a child? (Perseverance) 5. What does it take to run a race? (Perseverance)

Daily Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for caring so much about me. Thank You also for the people You place in my life to help me grow and become an adult. Help me to hang in there when things seem difficult, when the blessing seems so far off, knowing that You are there to give me strength to carry on. Amen.
